Having spent an hour or so filmimg the sunset from the cliff edge at Puerto de Mogan on the south west coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands, and having secured a highly prized parking space in this quaint seaside town, Liz and I decided to take advantage of the lovely warm evening to have an explore.
Puerto de Mogan was just a five minute drive from where we were staying for a week's holiday at Taurito, and as it was mentioned in our guide book as a 'must visit', we, of course, took the opportunity to pay a visit.
Based around the port, now a marina for some serious yachts, the old town was really nice to stroll around, and even in early February the weather was warm, and the houses bordering the narrow streets were resplendant with bougainvillea flowers filling the air with their heady scent.
Photographing this scene caused some amusement to passers by, as they politely waited for my tripod mounted thirty second exposure to finish before walking through my field of view, and then taking the same photo on their mobile phones.(Good luck with that I say!)
