The end of a fantastic day spent exploring the north coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands found my wife Liz and I strolling along the promenade at Puerto de Las Nieves as dusk fell over the Atlantic ocean.
Out on the horizon we could clearly see Mount Teide on the neighbouring island of Tenerife. outlined against the glowing sky.
Well worth a stop for a photo, but without my tripod I was compelled instead to use a high ISO for this low light handheld shot, and rely on the noise reduction capabilities of Adobe Lightroom to remove the sensor noise from the image.
A short time later and the sky lost its colour, meaning it was time for the long drive back south to our resort.
Well worth staying out late for though!
