When on holiday, my wife Liz and I rarely visit the same spot twice, but for the small town of La Garita on the Atlantic coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands we made an exception.
This fascinating stretch of rugged volcanic coastline is relatively undeveloped and free of tourists, a fact which is reflected in the very reasonable prices in the seaside café where we stopped for a pizza.
But pizzas aside, the shoreline is just fascinating and very dramatic, a photographer's dream in fact.
There's a lovely promenade leading from the town along the coast, with this bronze statue of a diving woman at the start.
I composed this image carefully (as always!) to show the woman diving over the colourful waterfront buildings and beach in the background.
