Tucked away behind the Musée des Impressionnismes in the Normandy village of Giverny, home of Monet and other artists, lies a beautiful wildflower meadow.
Carefully fenced off, but with walkway access all round, this is a gem of a place, and Liz and I spent at least an hour here, wandering round admiring and photographing the flowers before heading into the museum for a look at the exhibition of American impressionism that was on at the time.
The paintings in the museum were very lovely, but couldn't compare with God's creative beauty on display for free, just outside.
