You can see this scene, or any of a number like it, in any city in the western world.
This waitress is actually standing having her break at one end of the famous Ponti Vecchio in Florence, Italy, but she could be in Paris, Madrid, New York and so on.
Whenever I'm in a famous city I'll always look for a potential image that involves local people going about their everyday activities in less salubrious surroundings.
This acts as a welcome counterfoil to photographing the cared for and well known landmarks of which thousands of images are taken every day, and adds a bit of life to otherwise pretty, but dead scenery.
