Flowing out of Llyn Crafnant, high in the hills, this small tribuary stream of the river Conwy runs downhill through the village of Trefriw in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
On its way, just above Trefriw, the stream goes over some very pretty waterfalls, called the Fairy Falls, which are one of the local tourist attractions.
My wife, daughter and I called here one sunny day in the spring of 2019 in order to visit the falls, as my daughter had never seen them.
On this day the falls were at 'half spate', with just the right amount of water flowing over the rocks for a lovely visual effect.
Despite Fairy falls being a local attraction, we were the only ones there on that occasion.
So while my daughter cooled her feet in a rockpool I did what I usually do and photographed the flowing water from a variety of angles, trying to catch some of the atmosphere in this hidden gem of a location.
