Being a sea port, Dubrovnik has some impressive walls and battlements facing out to sea to defend from maritime attack.
This mini castle caught my eye as Liz and I were exploring the old town, so we decided to head down to the harbour to take a paddle in the sea to try and cool off a bit as it was baking hot in the sun.
Although the sun was high overhead, which isn't ideal for photography of this sort, the combination of castle, rock and sea still made for an impressive image, helped along by my polarising filter and a conversion to monochrome.
