Home of Donald Trump's golf course and hotel, the beach at Doonbeg on the West coast of County Clare, Ireland, is the area's most impressive feature.
Stunningly wild and beautiful in any weather, the beach has some very photogenic rock formations embedded in the sand which I took the opportunity to photograph under leaden skies.
Actually I was glad it wasn't sunny, as the diffuse light allowed all the lovely textures and colours of the scene to be seen in all their glory, helped a bit by a polarising filter!
