High summer on the North Wales coast, and even at 9pm the warm sun is bathing the landscape in a golden glow.
From the promenade at Deganwy my wife Liz and I are relaxing on a bench by the seaside, watching as small yachts and dinghies tack across the estuary of the river Conwy in the light evening breeze.
All of a sudden the yacht in this image swings around in front of us, its mainsail snapping taut while simultaneously catching the dying rays of the setting sun.
A quick raise of the camera to my eye and I have just enough time to take a couple of photos before the boat turns again and that lovely arrangement of shape and light is lost forever.
