The coronavirus lockdown of Spring 2020 gave my wife Liz and I the opportunity to more fully explore the semi-rural countryside around our home in Buckley, North Wales.
For me, Spring is one of the best times of the year, with fresh new growth and flowers adorning the paths, hedgerows and gardens, and what better way to see all this beauty close up is to take a walk, camera in hand of course.
This being Wales, the bright yellow trumpets of daffodils were much in evidence, and I photographed this solitary bloom as it glowed a golden yellow in the light of the early evening sun.
Just a small thing, easy to miss as you walk along, but utterly beautiful when you take a closer look.
