One of the things I really enjoy while on holiday in foreign lands is to drive the small roads either along the coastline or up into the mountains.
And I found one of the most spectacular mountain drives just inland from Makarska in Croatia, on a toll road leading right up from sea level to the summit of the Sveti Jure, the second highest mountain in Croatia.
Not only was the drive stunning, but the views from the top were amazing, looking out over the limestone landscape all the way back to the Adriatic.
In order to do justice to the scene I created this panoramic collage from multiple overlapping frames, taking the full sweep of this majestic view.
