According to our travel guide, the Krka National Park was one of the must see places in Croatia, so my wife Liz and I set aside a day to spend there during our week long holiday.
Having spent the hotter part of the day gasping our way up the Krka gorge looking at the waterfalls, we were mightly glad to get in some shade and have a wander around the lovely pools and small streams that criss-cross the woodlands to the side of the main river.
The water was wonderfully cool, clean and clear, with rather large fish swimming lazily around in the shallows, not bothered at all by the gawking tourists (ourselves included) looking down on them.
Of course, I had to take a photo or two, but with low light levels under the trees I had to crank the ISO up so I could use a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the fish movement.
Mind you - that shade was very welcome in the heat of the day!
