Midsummer on the North Wales coast, and with sunrise at 4.45am there's plenty of opportunity for me get up, drive to some of my favourite spots and photograph the dawn before heading back home to get ready for work.
No matter where you are, one of the dominant features visible from the shore is the massed ranks of turbines that make up the offshore Gwynt y Môr windfarm in Colwyn Bay.
Some hate them, but I love them as they're so visually arresting, especially set against the glowing orange light of the dawn sky.
Well worth getting up very early to see and photograph such a graphic scene.
