A typical day of frisky weather on the North Wales coast found my wife Liz and I enjoying a bracing stroll along the promenade at Colwyn Bay.
With dramatic clouds streaming by overhead and patchwork patterns of light and shade racing across the exposed sand there was plenty to see and enjoy.
Clear blue skies are nice if you want to lie on a beach for a while, but I soon get bored of that and so the North Wales weather patterns suit me down to the ground.
In fact I was so impressed with the weather and lighting conditions on this August afternoon that after our stroll I set up my camera on its tripod and shot several hundred still images in order to make a time lapse video of the scene.
This still image is just one of those exposures that I took to make the video, each one visually arresting in its own right, with magnificent clouds over the sweep of Colwyn Bay.
Now where else would you want to be?
