My wife Liz and I were taking a break from exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park, and instead took the I7 south from Estes Park down to Nederland, just to see what it was like.
Quite an interesting place as it turned out, with a great coffee shop built out of three old railcars which I couldn't resist photographing while sipping on my cappuchino.
It was the vivid red colour of the railcar nearest to me that did the trick, especially when viewed through my polarising filter against a very deep blue sky.
The icing on the cake, photographically speaking, was when a lovely white, fluffy cumulus cloud drifted over and into just the right spot to complete the composition.
