If you climb up through the seaside town of Llandudno, up onto the flanks of the Great Orme, you'll be rewarded with this fantastic overview of the bay as it sweeps around to the Little Orme on the eastern side of the town.
The day Liz and I walked up there was flat calm, which is very unusual here on the North Wales coast. The offshore wind turbines were standing idle, and the sea was so flat that the bay was an almost perfect reflection in the blue waters.
I rarely take landscape photos at times other than around dawn or dusk, but although this shot taken in the mid afternoon has relatively low contrast and saturation due to the angle and temperature of the light, I think it works well in conveying the mood of lethagry that the lack of wind gave to the day.
