We're still on the coastal ridge path behing Conway, North Wales, walking back to the car in the gathering twilight having watched the sun go down over the Great Orme by Llandudno.
I love twilight, that time at dawn and dusk when the sky goes through a myriad changes culminating in either sunrise or the onset of night.
This particular time we had witnessed a beautiful sunset and dusk, and there was just a hint of light left on the western horizon when I stopped to take this shot.
What inspired me to make this image was just the hint of artifically lit dual carrigeway (the A55 again) juxtaposed against the brooding mass of Penmaenmawr, sort of a metaphor for the fragile but unconquerable nature of light.
As it says about Jesus in the Bible - The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it.
