This is one of the RAW files that I took while compiling my timelapse video of dusk over Conway Morfa (which you can see here).
The A55 forms a golden ribbon of light as it wends its way along the coast until disappearing under the river Conwy, while the sky overhead has turned a deep cerulean blue as the colour temperature of the twilight goes up and up while the world turns away from the sun.
This is the time of day to be sitting on top of the Sychnant Pass, as the world stills around you waiting for the onset of night. Even the sounds of traffic on the A55 seem strangely muted as nature holds its breath at this, the edge of light.
A few minutes later and night covers the coast like a blanket. It's time to wend my my way back down to the car as the first stars dot the sky like far off windows into heaven.
I'm frozen stiff and hungry, but that's a small price to pay to be immersed in such beauty.
