My wife Liz and I were on the final stages of a four hour hike in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in North Wales, heading along Offa's Dyke over the summit of Pen-y-Cloddiau towards Moel-y-Parc.
We were pretty tired by this point, so when a paraglider hove into view, soaring on the updraughts as the wind rose over the mountains, we were glad to take a break for a few minutes and admire the effortless grace of its flight.
Of course, I couldn't just stand there and watch, so as the intrepid pilot soared to and fro I got busy with my camera, capturing various compositions at times where the paraglider was in an advantageous position above the horizon.
Good fun, and a good excuse to rest the legs for a while!
