If you can't find any interesting subject matter to photograph at eye level then try looking up or down instead!
This was the case for this image. The light on this particular afternoon was particularily dull and the landscape uninspiring.
However, the odd shaft of sunlight was breaking through the clouds and highlighting small patches in the swirling mass of vapour over my head.
I like compositions that involve light and dark, positive and negative space, and sometimes, such as this, I'll make an image that relies completely on this contrast.
