Ruined Church #1

Photo of ruined church, Llandwyn, Anglesey

The story behind this image

Llandwyn Island, on the west coast of Anglesey in North Wales, has an abundance of interesting old buildings to visit and photograph.

This particular ruin looks like an old church to me, and there are plenty of other religious artifacts dotted around as well.

What made this composition worth photographing for me was the beautiful evening light spilling across the landscape, coupled with the cloud pattern that neatly framed the derelict chapel.

If you look closely you'll see a wild pony cropping the grass close by; a sign of life which contrasts nicely with the inert stones.
