Sitting to the south of St Bride's Bay on the coast of the Pembrokeshire National Park, the beach at Broad Haven is a great expanse of flat sand, backed by dunes and the seaside town of Broad Haven itself.
During the few days that my wife Liz and I spent exploring the National Park in late autumn 2016 we visited Broad Haven on a couple of occasions, not only because of the stunning sunset views out over St Bride's Bay, but also because those views could be enjoyed from the warmth and comfort of our car, parked right up against the sea wall and with the wonderful Ocean Cafe just across the road for when a hot coffee and trip to the loo was called for!
But of course, I wasn't just going to sit in the car admiring the view, so while Liz sat in the warmth, knitting away on her latest creation (socks I think), I was out in the cold breeze, taking hundreds of images of this dramatic sunset to make my time lapse video of the event.
This is just one of those images, showing beautiful crepuscular rays streaming through the wrack of clouds as the sun fell towards the distant horizon.
Well worth getting frozen for, but I was certainly glad of that cafe once the sun had set!
