The air was thick and heavy with the threat of rain when Liz and I stopped at this famous viewpoint on the Isle of Anglesey overlooking the Menai Straits and Thomas Telford's iconic suspension bridge.
Heavy, dark storm clouds had formed over the mountains of Snowdonia to the south and were filling the sky over our heads while reflecting in the still waters of the Straits at the turn of the tide.
This isn't your typical holiday snapshot of this view, taken under sunnier conditions, of which there are hundreds to see on the internet.
Instead this is a photograph that conveys a much more sombre mood, full of brooding menace, in which the man made structure of the suspension bridge appears small and vulnerable when set against the forces of nature ranged against it.
And, to be honest, this image is much more typical of normal conditions in this part of the world, where titanic atmospheric forces clash with each other on a daily basis.
