The story behind this image

As part of a couple of days 'glamping' experience in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, my wife Liz and I decided to explore the waterfalls for which the park is justly famous.

Starting at the Waterfall Visitor Centre, we followed the trail alongside the Nedd Fechan river which took us through an enchanting landscape, puncuated with - you've guessed it - waterfalls.

The hike took us all day, as I insisted on stopping at every waterfall for a photographic session.

Fortunately for me, the weather was overcast, which really makes all the difference when photographing moving water, allowing longish shutter speeds to blur the water and avoiding overly bright spots on the foaming rapids.

All in all, a lovely day's experience in a wonderful part of our beautiful country.
