A fleeting moment in time as the afternoon sun catches the autumnal leaves of a tree as it overhangs the dark waters of the Afon Llugwy at Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
My wife Liz and I love walking through woodlands in autumn, and this stroll along the rivet from Betws-y-Coed to Capel Curig must surely be one of the nicest experiences the park has to offer, especailly on a crisp autumn afternoon like this.
A couple of weeks later and all is laid bare as the first of the winter storms strips the last of this year's leaves from the trees, to await the rebirth of the coming spring.
