This is the pebble beach at Penmaenmawr on the North Wales coast.
During the day it's not particularly photogenic, but at dusk, if the tide is right, then the scene come alive with lights, colours and reflections.
A good trick when photographing scenes with streetlights is to use a small aperture, such as f16 or f22. This creates the starburst effects you can see here.
