Love on the rocks
This couple must have desparate to get away from the maddening crowd, as they're sitting on a freezing cold deserted beach (apart from me that is!) at Penmon Point on the island of Anglesey just off the North Wales coast.
The beach at Penmon is one of my favourite haunts, and usually I have it to myself, just to enjoy the solitude and take a few photos of the lighthouse and surrounding rocks.
However, I wasn't upset at finding these two perched on the pebbles, as their clothing and body language were so intriguing that photographing them in situ added an extra layer of meaning to the scene.
Who are they? Why are they there? What's the relationship between them?
So many possible questions that are left to the viewer's imagination.
And, let's face it, without them this photo would have been extremely boring!
