This beautiful scene is of Barafundle Bay on the Pembroke coast in South Wales.
My wife Liz and I were at a friend's wedding in that part of the world, and I was doing the photography for her. Anyone who's photographed a wedding in an official capacity will know how mentally and physically draining it is, so I was well in need of a bit of rest and relaxation the following day.
Therefore we decided to take the scenic route home and walk a bit of the Pembrokeshire coastal path on the way.
What a revelation! I thought the only beautiful parts of Wales were in the north, and South Wales was basically a post-apocalyptical wasteland, but this was stunning.
Barafundle Bay, pictured here, was just one of the visual treats we encountered on this glorious sunny day,l and I'd love to return and spend more time exploring this fantastic piece of coastline. I'd love to see it at sunrise or sunset, but that would have to be in winter as the coast is south facing.
Something to think about anyway.
