Beaches are wonderfully dynamic places, never the same twice.
This particular beach is at Talacre, on the North Wales coast, and strolling along its considerable length you quite often come across some interesting and very photogenic pieces of flotsam and jetsam, temporarily placed there before vanishing onto the next leg of their endless journeys.
This tree branch is a case in point, as I've come across it three times now at Talacre, and each time in a different place.
This time it was partially buried near the dunes, and in the strong breeze it looked particularly photographable set against the waves of blowing sand.
The next time Liz and I visited this spot there was no sign, so perhaps this old dead piece of tree finally made it back out to sea and is now who knows where.
