It was freezing cold and blowing a gale when I took this photo looking down at the beach at Penmaenmawr, North Wales.
Liz and I had decided to explore the Sychnant Pass, which traverses the mountain ridge to the west of Conway and overlooks Penmaenmawr, Puffin Island and Anglesey.
A stiff onshore breeze was blowing so we sheltered by some convenient rocks to watch the light show as the sun went down into the sea to the northwest.
I ended up hand holding the camera, trusting in image stabilisation and a fast shutter speed to give me a sharp image, as my tripod was unusable in the blustery conditions.
