Azura Detail #5

P&O cruise liner Azura superstructure detail

The story behind this image

On a sunny day a cruise liner becomes a photographer's playground.

Sailing north from Belfast up into the Atlantic Ocean on our way to Iceland on board the P&O liner Azura, my wife Liz had discovered an onboard craft club which gave me a couple of hours free to wander round the ship on my own.

Getting up onto the highest deck available to passengers gave me this view of the P&O logo and funnel arrangement, looking really good in the bright sun.

A bit of careful framing to avoid distracting details resulted in this image, with my polarising filter rotated to darken the blue sky and provide contrast with the blue of the screening and logo.
