One of just many dramatic coastline locations in the southwest of Ireland, this is a 180° view of the harbour and beach at Ardmore, County Waterford, on the edge of the Atlantic ocean.
This image was taken on the second visit the my wife Liz and I made to Ardmore during our week long stay in the area.
Our first visit to Ardmore was accompanied by rain, sleet, snow(!) sun and freezing winds, so we didn't venture far from our parked car on that occasion!
You can see the sort of weather we faced on my Ardmore Time Lapse video.
However, the weather on our second visit was much more conducive to a bit of exploring so we set off up the beautiful cliff walk that leads up past Ardmore harbour and around the headland to the south of the town.
On the way we stopped to take in and photograph this view from the harbour wall, taking in the sweep of the bay and lovely sandy beach, all bathed in glorious sunshine.
A marked difference from our first visit!
