Not every day in North Wales is bright and sunny, sometimes it gets a bit cloudy. (Haha!)
Fortunately for me, as an outdoor photographer, I like clouds as you can express much more mood in an image when there's something going on in the sky.
This somewhat melancholy view is of the dam at Alwen Reservoir, with the giant stone and concrete structure looking very forbidding in the gloom.
A long 30 second exposure has helped to blur the clouds and water, adding a somewhat surreal feel to the scene that conveys a slight sense of menace.
You could be looking at a set from a thriller.
