Not every day in North Wales is bright and sunny, sometimes it gets a bit cloudy. (Haha!)
Fortunately for me, as an outdoor photographer, I like clouds as you can express much more mood in an image when there's something going on in the sky.
This somewhat melancholy view is Alwen Reservoir, taken from the dam at the eastern end, looking west towards the sunset (if there had been one).
The cool blue of twilight and the gentle texture of the clouds and water, rendered smooth by a 15 second long exposure, conveys much more of an ambiance than similar photos I've taken here under much more cheerful conditions.
This is the sort of image I'd be happy to have on my walls at home.
